08/22/2018: Carter Bank & Trust aids in tornado relief at Windy Hill Farm
Carter Bank was a corporate sponsor of a tornado relief fundraising event held at Windy Hill Farm in Monroe, Virginia, on June 30, July 21 and Aug. 11. A tornado devastated the Elon area of Madison Heights, Virginia, in April, causing a great deal of property damage and displacing numerous families from their homes. The event was hosted by Rock Pike Baptist Church and Windy Hill Farm. A total of four fundraising events have been planned throughout the summer. Central region employees will be volunteering again for the upcoming event in September. In addition to a cash donation, we provided a gift basket valued at $100 as the prize for a drawing held at the end of the event. Attendees registered at our sponsor table. Cash donations also were accepted at the table, which we will contribute to the relief effort.
