12/12/2018: Diana Hiatt spoke to kindergarteners at B. H. Tharrington Primary School

Mount Airy branch’s Diana Hiatt spoke to B. H. Tharrington Primary School’s kindergarteners on how to save and earn money. She read Lemonade in the Winter, a book about a brother and sister, who opened a lemonade stand to earn money.  After reading the book, Diana spoke to the children about what they could do to earn and save money.

The children were given Carter Bank & Trust piggy banks, coin rollers and coloring sheet. This is the fourth consecutive year that we have been invited to present an age appropriate financial literacy program to Tharrington kindergartners.
